Northern Roux Group UGI/HPB Teaching Day

7 June 2024

Venue: Durham Cricket, Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, DH3 3QR

This is a one-day training day in Durham mainly focusing on UGI/HPB topics, useful for FRCS exam. There will be a choice between hands-on practice lap RYGB (limited spaces left) or FRCS prep in the afternoon.

Trent UGI/HPB Education Day

Roux Weekend

The Roux Group are delighted to share the Roux Weekend 2024 programme. We have an exciting line-up of topics and speakers planned and would like to invite you all to join us at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth on Friday 22nd to Saturday 23rd March 2024. From surgical skills competitions to fellowship roadshows there will be something to suit trainees at all stages. There will be talks from leading UK experts in surgical leadership, human factors and sustainability as well as parallel sessions in sub-specialty topics in HPB, UGI and Bariatrics. Our pre-meeting courses also promise to deliver a unique exposure to advanced endoscopic and operative techniques. Join us for both days to enjoy an overnight stay, dinner and drinks as well as live music.

Basics of Liver Surgery Course

Friday 14 October 

BOWA Medical UK, Devon

The second 'Basics of Liver Surgery Course' will take place on the 14th October 2022 at BOWA MEDICAL UK in Devon. The course is specifically designed for SpRs/equivalent grades who are due to start, or already are on their first HPB job.

This one day course, will cover both theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical skills that will provide you with the appropriate tools, to enable you to get the best out of your HPB rotation. Please find the programme for the day below.
